Welcome to the webpage of the 787th Vertical Marine Fighter Attack, an auxiliary group of the USS Matrix NCC-72296. Marines seem to be a bit Spartan to other Fleet Personnel. This page symbolizes that this unit has life in it and wanting to go somewhere. Marines like to keep things simple and clear and that is what we tried to do on this site. Discipline and order are the first priorities. The branch of the 787th is "Aerospace". The STARFLEET Marine Corps is a component of STARFLEET, the International Star Trek Fan Association Inc. (SFI). The SFMC is an office under the Commander, STARFLEET. The Commandant of the STARFLEET Marine Corps reports to Commander, Starfleet.The most basic unit of the STARFLEET Marine Corps is the Marine Strike Group, also known as the MSG (MCU - MEU). The MSG is made up of individuals who are in the STARFLEET Marine Corps, and is usually attached to a ship. In our case the 787th is attached to the STARFLEET International correspondence chapter USS Matrix NCC-72296. The 787th is better known as the "White Knights". There is a minimum number of individuals needed to make up the unit: one person. So one person can be a MSG. MSGs are assembled in a Battalion. A Battalion is set up with the different MSGs located in the same state or country. Battalions are assembled in a Brigade. It is not always easy to determine to which brigade the 787th belongs to. The SFI Region and so the SFMC Brigade are related. Currently the USS Matrix resides in  SFI Region 7 and therefore the 787th reports to the SFMC 7th Brigade. The 7th Brigade covers the following states: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia. But as the USS Matrix is an international group of people from the entire globe, it is possible the 787th has members from outside SFI Region 7. The Brigades are assembled in a Division, which encompasses many states and/or countries. The total of all Divisions are assembled in the Starfleet Marine Corps (SFMC). Marines focus on the fictional aspects of Star Trek, which includes Strategic Simulations (SIMMS) and Role Playing Games (RPG).
